Summary of book;
Homeschooling offers parents the best opportunity to shepherd their children both academically and spiritually. Yes. It’s worth it. But do you ever feel as if your life is “all homeschool—all the time?”
Do you ever wonder where the girl your husband married went? This book is for every mom who has collapsed into bed at the end of the day, looked into the eyes of her husband and promised “tomorrow” she’d have time for him.
Trouble is, tomorrow finds her more exhausted than the day before.
If you have ever felt caught between the demands of homeschooling your children and meeting the needs of your husband, you’re not alone. Read and discover how even a busy homeschool mom can make time to nurture her marriage. It’s not as hard as you think—and more important than you may realize.
I admit, when I first was chosen to recieve a free book, I was so happy. I love reading and when I can read for free… well, thats even better. The title intrigued me. Its not a title I would normally grab too. But the description made me want to pick it up and devour it. No I am not a homeschooling mom in the most description sense. But to a mom, every day involves some sort of schooling. Whether your child is 7 or 6months.
This was a very good book! Its definetly one to purchase, read and then keep for refreshing your mind every once in a while. The book is only 172 pages. I would quite often read it in bed next to my husband. Quoting out a few lines here and there… and guess what, he wants to read it as well! Actually, he even skipped ahead and then asked me to read a section to discuss it with him. It was kind of eye opening for him to see our side as well.
I think since no two husbands are alike, there will definetly be something(s) that will not relate to you. But as a whole, this book was a good summary of all the books you have on your shelf. Heidi St. John doesnt add words to make a bigger book. She says what she needs too, what you need to hear, and then moves on to the next item. I love it!
Heidi’s book can be found here . I would recommed this book. Maybe even purchasing a “Loaner” copy.
Heidi, thank you for the priviledge of reading your book. THank you for allowing me to be one of your winners (it was a God-send I assure you). You can fan/like (whatever it is now) Heidi’s page here.
